Hadiyah Sama is an aspiring author based in Surrey. She has been published in two anthologies to date and has worked as a freelance journalist for various student news media organisations.
Alongside her work as a librarian, Hadiyah is a freelance editor and has also spent the last few years volunteering with the literary organisation YA Shot, and is keen to make publishing a fairer and more accessible place for all. She has an MA in Creative Writing from Brunel University of London, and a BA from the same establishment in English and Creative Writing, where she also received the Catherine Barrett prize in 2015 for her short story The Tempest in a Teacup.
When not crying over deadlines, cats, and fictional characters, Hadiyah can be found dedicating her time to library and publishing services. She is currently polishing off what she hopes will be her debut novel, and maintains a regularly updated blog at www.hadiyahsama.wordpress.com.
